My Journey

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some fantastic organizations. At Aradel plc (formerly Niger Delta Production Resources Limited), I served as General Manager, Internal Audit & Control, where I led a company-wide risk assessment and helped develop whistleblower and fraud risk policies. Before that, at Salvic Petroleum Resources Limited, I established an enterprise risk management framework and worked closely with business leaders to put formal risk systems in place. My long stint of two decades at Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), exposed me to a wide range of roles. I’ve led audits across multiple countries including the Netherlands, UK, India, Iraq, Oman and the Philippines, gaining invaluable experience in corporate governance, risk management, and business communication. Earlier in my career, I provided financial control and support for various E&P departments and businesses, honing my skills in stakeholder management, performance measurement, and business consulting.

Academic Focus and Passion

On the academic side, I’m deeply interested in how corporate governance, insurance regulation, and risk management intersect especially in emerging economies like Nigeria. I’ve published papers on these topics, aiming to connect theory with real-world practice. My work often centers on strengthening governance, ensuring compliance, and improving performance within Nigeria’s financial and insurance sectors.

• In 2021, I served as the Lead Project Contract Auditor for the Dangote Lekki Gas Pipeline project, where I reviewed contract scope and audited project systems, resulting in better governance and value-for-money.
• I’m passionate about turning audit insights into tangible improvements that help organizations grow and succeed.
